Q: When is it okay to be behind in life?
A: When you are allowing God to be ahead of your life?
Scripture Reference: Deuteronomy 31:8

Previous Words of Encouragement
Psst, go ahead nobody is looking. Go ahead, say it, nobody is listening. Go ahead, take it, you know they’re not going to miss that – it’s not really stealing. What, what … what I meant to say was … Yes, we have all been tempted at some point in our life. And perhaps, some of us are still being tempted. Let’s be truthful, we are still in a recession and temptation is on every side of us. Some people are being tempted to engage in business contracts that have “Corruption” written all over them. Others are being tempted to engage in ungodly relationships to make ends meet. I am not pointed fingers at anyone. I’m just here to encourage us to increase our faith and wait on God; He alone knows what we can bear.
According to 1 Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” The New King James Version of the Nelson Study Bible explains it this way, “God is so good that He will not let believers experience anything for which He has not prepared them. He will give every believer the grace and power to endure. Furthermore, endurance will bring its own reward.”
I know we are all facing some sort of temptation, but I encourage myself and you to trust in God and believe that he will bring you through ANY situation.
If you are wondering how you can get through “the storms of life”, I encourage you to allow God to be the Reign Gear for Your Soul. More inspirational messages can be found in my self-published book and Audio Book, “Showers of Blessings: Reign Gear for the Soul“.

Oh Achan, what were you thinking. Why oh why did you take those things from Jericho. Did you not know that your sin would bring defeat to Israel? Like Achan, sometimes even the smallest thing we do in sin will bring harm to many people. But know that God is loving and forgiving. With God’s grace, the hurt and pain will soon be gone that we sometimes cause to ourselves and other people. Keep pressing forward to be a light. [ This was a continuation from the inspiration below. Scripture reference - Joshua 7:1-26]
Everything that glitters is not golden. Have you ever seen a shiny object that you thought was a coin only to find out that it was a bottle cap or a soda can ring? Did you pick it up anyway? I remember playing outside, running, laughing, sweating and stumbling across that “shiny object”. I would take off running to be the first person to pick it up. Ha, ha, ha was the sound of laughter when it turned out to be a “dud”. “Put that thing down” was yet another voice I heard when I picked up that “shiny object”. Hmm, what a coincidence, that’s just how life turns out at times. We often chase after those things that look shiny and nice, but turn out to be “duds” and sometimes harmful to many people. Take a look at Achan; he saw some shiny things and garments and decided to take them. Ouch, what a mistake that turned out to be. God had already told the Israelites not to take any accursed things from their victory in Jericho. Stay tuned to see what happened next….
- Speak to the mountains in your life and tell them to move. Believe in faith and remove all doubt. ”Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to the mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Mark 11: 22-14 The Nelson Study Bible, New King James Version
